My cool stuff

My Cool Stuff- All the cool stuff I have accumulated in my basement.

MacBook White 13 inch

I'm too lazy to take a picture of it. It's the same kind we have at school. Except mine is cooler, because mine has video games.

Well, it's a Mac. What can I say? It does everything I want it to, and it comes with iLife '09. [Higher number doesn't equal better product in this case. I HATE iLife '09. It's missing all my favorite Apple Loops!] It doesn't have iWork. Whoopty-doo. It has a dual core processor. Yippee-Skippy-gag-me-with-a-spoon. My PC has 3 cores, and was half the price. I worked all summer for this thing. It had better last until I feel like replacing it.  I have one thing that is the reason I got it. iMovie mops the floor with Windows Movie Maker. I will never touch WMM again if I don't have to.

iBook

and [lost in the line of duty. RIP.]

My newest one, HP A6430

My first computer- Compaq Presario 5000

- Dell Dimension v400c
I got this for free.

- Compaq Presario 1240
My first laptop I could call my own. I got this for free.

-iPod Touch. Dock connector got semi fried. It still kinda works, but I have no use for it now.

The iPod touch is cool. You can listen to music and watch movies on it, of course. But it also has wireless internet. It has Safari so you can browse the internet, iTunes Mobile to buy songs, the App Store to get more applications to do more things with, and even YouTube.

 iPhone 2G.

This is a hand-me-down iPhone that I got from my dad when he upgraded to a 3G S. Personally, I think it's cooler because the jailbreaking exploit used in the iPhone 2G is a hardware exploit, and that means that no software update will ever be able to patch it. That also means that I can SIM-unlock it [use it on T-Mobile]. (Yes, T-Mobile is the only other provider you can bring it to. [They stink, so I don't.] Verizon will NEVER work on the current iPhone. The radios used to connect to the network are completely incompatible. No hack will ever change that without adding a modem into the dock connector.)

I believe that I have gotten a little long-winded. I won't blow your non/techy minds. I'll stop talking now!

SonyEricsson w300i

This is my favorite "dumb" phone EVAR. [No longer the case... See below.]

It has Walkman on it, which makes it an MP3 player, it has MobiTV, which lets you watch TV, and it has Internet Radio, too. Also, this is the first phone I have ever seen that lets you use POP3 email [if you debrand it from the crappy Cingular firmware.]

Sony Ericsson c905a

This, now, is my favorite dumb phone EVAR.

It has an 8.1 megapixel camera [blows the iPhone away]

It has a flash [blows the iPhone away]

It has 3G HSDPA [blows the iPhone away]

It has a memory card slot [blows the iPhone away

and it has MULTITASKING!!! MULTITASKING, I TELL YOU! [Blows the iPhone away to infinity and beyond.]

Now, I jailbroke my iPhone to allow multitasking with a tool called Backgrounder, but it just didn't feel right. Anyways, it's not an official Apple solution, so the apps still think that they can take up all of the RAM all of the time. So it's not that great when you hack it in.

Again, you have to debrand the phone to get all the good stuff. But now, it's even easier. All you have to do is change the country code to Unlocked, then run Sony Ericsson Update Service. Completely legit update. Oh, and did I mention that gives you WI-FI? Yeah. This thing blows the iPhone to pieces. It also allows tethering. That's the final straw. I'm never buying an iPhone again until they do ALL of the above.

-Samsung SGH-A737 Cell phone

It isn't much more than a cell phone, but it's a good cell phone. You can get on the internet with 3G access. It is a good phone in that it gets a strong signal and doesn't drop calls very often. You can get ringtones at the AT&T Online Store for it. [But don't try it if you don't want to rack up a bill. I learned that the hard way.] It also has a camera, but you can't save many pictures without a MicroSD card. MicroSD cards are very useful for a lot of things.

  -Samsung MiniDV Camera

MiniDV cameras are the videocamera you should get if you don't want to spend a lot of money and want a good camera. It does use a tape, but the data is stored as 1s and 0s instead of an analog recording. The camera is easy to use. It has a feature called Easy.Q which sets it up for you. Then, you can use iMovie or Windows Movie Maker, or even a MiniDV compatible TV/VCR through a 4 pin FireWire/i.Link cable. It takes widescreen movie clips, but you can use iMovie or Windows Movie Maker to make it a full screen movie. Then, you can use iDVD or Windows DVD Maker [Windows Vista only! If you don't have Windows Vista, export the video to one clip, then use the free InfraRecorder to put it on a DVD.] to put the clip on a DVD. Then BAM! You have a professional-looking video to show off to everyone.

-LightScribe discs + a LightScribe drive

The only reason I have this is because it came with my HP Pavilion a6430f.

LightScribe labeling goes along with the heading of making professional [or at least professional looking] stuff. It allows you to design a disc label, then just put the disc in upside-down and burn the label on. There is no ink to run out or anything. The label is burned on by a special laser. [The only bad thing is that you have to use special LightScribe discs that cost a little more than regular discs.]

Now let me tell you, that's not all. Many more computers have come and gone. If I listed them all here, I might go on all day.
